Opening and Closing

Everything associated with the garage door should open and close easily and work properly. Your garage door is the largest piece of moving equipment in your home. It is recommended that your overhead door and operator be maintained frequently – at least every year. Many consumers are unaware that in order to comply with your manufacturer’s warranty regular routine inspections and maintenance must be performed. This maintenance includes lubrication, adjusting, safety reverse mechanisms, as well as inspecting the bottom rubber (also called bottom weather seal). Other parts to be inspected for rust and wear are your springs, cables, drums (also called cable drums), rollers, center bearing and end bearing plates. Many of these routine items are easy to find, however, if it has been a while since a garage door professional has inspected your door and opener…it’s probably time to call Madison Overhead Garage Door Services. After all, the performance failure of ANY of these parts can cause your garage door to become stuck!
